2005-11-07 - 12:45 p.m.

So I don't know how normal it is to get homesick after 2 months into college, but I am. I wasn't before, but this past week has been hard. It's probably because it's midterm and everything is getting a lot harder, but dammit I thought I was better than that.
This weekend my aunt and uncle lent me their car and I went down to Winona to see Val and to just be at home in general. It was SO fucking good to be in a familiar place... I went to the usual 4 places that make Winona home... My house, Mike's house, Val's house, and the Y. I never knew how much those things were a part of me until now...
I can tell Mike misses me because when I was leaving, he stood up to give me a hug. I'm not even kidding. I love that kid to death, and I'm pretty sure we'll end up married. Val and I had a lot of good conversation all weekend, and we listened to classical music for like 3 hours while we talked. God I love Winona.
I can't wait for Thanksgiving break... only about 2 weeks now!
